Get a lithophane that glows
A lithophane works by light shining through the print — bright parts become thin (glow), dark parts become thick (shadow). Contrast and light are everything.
✓ Best results
- A clear, well-lit subject — portraits (1–3 faces), pets, or one strong subject.
- Good contrast between the subject and background.
- Bright, in-focus, higher-resolution photos (~1000px+ on the short side).
- Simple or clean backgrounds so the subject pops.
✕ Avoid
- Dark or underexposed photos — shadows turn muddy.
- Busy or cluttered backgrounds.
- Blurry or low-resolution images.
- Heavy filters, flat lighting, very low contrast.
- Big group shots — faces end up tiny.
How does it work?
You send a photo; we convert it into a 3D relief and print it in white PLA. Lit from behind, your image appears in light and shadow.
Will it look exactly like my photo?
It becomes a tonal (light-to-dark) relief, not a color print — contrast matters more than color. High-contrast photos look stunning; dark or flat ones don't.
Do you check my photo first?
Yes. Every order is reviewed before we print. If your photo won't come out well, we reach out before making it — you're never charged for a bad print you didn't approve.
What files do you accept?
JPG or PNG. Higher resolution = sharper result.
Print vs. Lamp?
Print = the panel only; you light it yourself (window, lightbox, your own LED). Lamp = the panel plus a lit base/frame, ready to glow out of the box.
Do I need the rights to the photo?
Yes — you'll confirm you own or are licensed to use the image. Please don't send copyrighted or trademarked images you don't have rights to.
